A two-year program for recent graduates and entry-level professionals interested in a career in media and technology.

The NBCU Academy Embed Program is a 24-month assignment where participants are embedded full time in a business unit enabling them to learn, build their skills, and gain hands-on professional experience. Embeds are matched to roles that align with their strengths and future goals, including positions in newsrooms, marketing, production, technology and more.

The Embed Program builds on the NBCU Academy mission of providing more equitable access to diverse and marginalized communities that have been historically underrepresented in the media and technology industries. The program also provides professional development and networking opportunities with NBCU talent, leaders and executives.

Program requirements include:

Recent graduation from an NBCU Academy partner institution or other journalism, communications, engineering and/or media technology program

OR

Affiliation with a journalism diversity organization as an entry-level professional. Diversity organizations include but are not limited to NABJ, NAHJ, AAJA, NAJA, and NLGJA.

Applicants must provide references and a letter of interest.

The next NBCU Academy Embed cohort is planned for 2024. Please sign up for our newsletter to be notified of the application date.
